Working safely
Working safely and consciously
Everyone goes home safely at the end of the day. At ROVO that is not a goal, but a precondition.
Our vision
Safety is in our behaviour
Whether we work in petrochemicals, along the railway, on a construction site or at sea: our people often work in high-risk environments. Rules and procedures matter, but real safety only comes when everyone consciously chooses to work safely.
That is why we invest in training, in an open culture where people speak up and in leaders who set the right example. Safety belongs to everyone, from the first working day to the last.
Core rules
Our 8 safety rules
These rules apply to everyone working for or on behalf of ROVO, on every project.
Always wear your PPE
Helmet, safety shoes, glasses, gloves and clothing suited to the task.
Do an LMRA before you start
Consider the risks of your work, even if you have done it many times.
Work safely at height
Use approved scaffolding and fall protection above 2.5 metres.
Lock out and tag out
Never work on installations that are not de-energised and locked.
Work with a valid permit
Hot work, confined spaces and excavation only start with a work permit.
Stay out of the danger zone
Never walk under suspended loads or within the swing radius of machines.
Stop when in doubt
Everyone may and must stop the work if it is not safe.
Speak up
See unsafe behaviour? Mention it, respectfully and directly.
